Father’s Day Shooting In Chicago Leaves 2 Dead, 3 Injured

According to Chicago officials, two people were killed and three injured in a shooting that occurred at a Father’s Day event on Sunday night.

Chicago Police reported that five victims were shot near West 99th Street and South Princeton in Roseland before being transported to hospital.

In a park, the victims were shot by people driving a gray Honda sedan. Tom Ahern, a police spokesperson, confirmed that two men — aged 37 and 33 years — died. Three men, aged 27, 25 and 19, were hospitalized with various injuries.

Ahern stated that no suspects had been arrested at this point.

The Chicago Tribune reported that the shooting occurred at 8 p.m. during a Father’s Day barbeque.

The incident is still under investigation.
