Top Biden Campaign Aide’s Husband Gave Hunter Biden Rapid Response Help As Burisma Scandal Swirled

Hunter Biden, a top aide in President Biden’s reelection campaign, is married to the consultant who advised him when he faced increased scrutiny over his lucrative position as director of Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Last month, Elizabeth Alexander, Jill Biden’s communications director, took a temporary leave to lead the messaging arm for Biden’s campaign. She was the spokesperson for the president when he served in the Senate, and also when he held the vice presidency. She was also a senior advisor for communications on the 2020 presidential campaign.

Alexander married David Wade in 2010. He was a Yale University professor and public affairs strategist, who had served as chief of staff for then-Sen. John Kerry under the Obama Administration and the State Department.

Wade left the State Department in June 2015 and, according to LinkedIn, started a consulting company called GreenLight Strategies two months later. Wade contacted Eric Schwerin on Sept. 14, 2015. He was the president of Hunter’s Rosemont Seneca Partners (now dissolved), about helping Hunter with “rapid responses.”

Wade appeared to be referring to Burisma, based on the emails that followed. Wade said, “I’m not sure if you’ve done more thinking on your end but I wanted to come back to you about what we talked about the other day,” Wade appeared to refer to Burisma based on the emails that would follow.

Wade asked for $10,000 to start the project. Schwerin then forwarded this request to Hunter and said that both he and Devon Archer agreed with the proposal. Archer served with Hunter on Burisma’s board.

Hunter had told Wade earlier in the year that he’d heard that Schwerin was moving from the State Department into the private sector. He also said that he would be “always available by phone.”

Wade told Hunter, “I’d love to ask you for some advice if you have the time.” “Elizabeth [and I] both look forward to [sic] catching-up.”

According to an email sent to Schwerin that included Hunter’s schedule, the meeting was to take place on October 1, 2015.

Hunter was to speak with Wade, and perhaps Schwerin, a week later.

On Oct. 14, 2015 Schwerin sent Hunter, Wade, and Archer an email about their preparations to answer multiple questions from The Wall Street Journal.

“Hunter/Devon/David,” Schwerin wrote. “Sending to all at once for comments. Just wanted to provide some talking points on the background of the WSJ if they asked.

“Thanks Eric. Wade replied, “Great stuff as usual.” “My gut instinct would be to tweak them slightly. And obviously, if they don’t make any sense for different reasons, I feel no pride in authorship.”

Hunter’s departure from the Burisma Holdings Board was discussed by the partners. Hunter had joined the Burisma geothermal board in early 2014.

Schwerin then sent Hunter and Wade an email, explaining how to respond to the question of “whether or not there is a potential conflict with Hunter’s position on the Board in relation to the VP’s policies.”

In part of the statement, Hunter stated that it welcomed the scrutiny directed at Burisma and their shareholders. It was confident that these companies had acted in accordance with Ukrainian laws.

On November 19, 2015, Schwerin sent an email to Hunter, Archer and Sebastian Momtazi (who also had a Burisma.com address) informing them of Wade’s bill “for his related work relating to the Burisma Article, etc.”

I think he will continue working on that project if required as part of the invoice. Schwerin asked Wade to tell him what entity he thought would pay for the project.

Wade was copied in emails sent on Dec. 5, 2015 between Vadym Pozoharskyi (a Burisma executive) and another consultant, discussing “draft responses” to a New York Times inquiry.

Fox News Digital, which reviewed White House visitor records during the Biden administration found that Biden had visited the White House at least five different times in the past two years. Three of these events are larger ones, such as the annual celebration of July 4. In two of the visits (June 4, 2022 and Dec. 19, 2021) the contact person was an assistant to the first lady Jill Biden. Wade’s actual meeting with the person during these visits is not known.

Fox News Digital did not receive any comments from Alexander Wade, Hunter’s attorney, the White House, or the Biden campaign.

Fox News Digital reported previously that two of Biden’s co-chairs at the national level, Democratic Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, and Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del. ), had past connections to the first son who is under federal investigation.

Fox News Digital reported recently that Hunter Biden, his business partners and Burisma were present at a holiday party in December 2015 hosted by then-Vice President Biden. This was just days after his return from his famous visit to Ukraine where he had threatened to withhold US aid of $1 billion if Ukraine’s leaders didn’t fire their top prosecutor.

Records show that after Biden returned from his brief trip to Ukraine on December 12, 2015, he hosted an event at the Naval Observatory residence of the Vice President, Hunter, and some of his former business partners, Rosemont Seneca Partners, were in attendance.

White House visitor logs show that Hunter, Devon Archer (co-founder of Rosemont Seneca), Rosemont Seneca president Eric Schwerin and Sebastian Momtazi (an associate who also worked at Rosemont Seneca in New York City) visited the White House together on December 12, 2015. According to emails reviewed on Fox News Digital, Archer and Momtazi, both of whom were also members of the Burisma Board with Hunter, had Burisma.com addresses.

Fox News Digital reported that a few months after the holiday celebration, Hunter thanked an executive from Burisma Holdings for birthday presents he described in previous reports as “far too lavish”.

Hunter wrote: “V- Thank you so much,” Hunter referred to the top executive of Burisma, Vadym Pezharskyi. Let Nikolay know that I value his loyalty and friendship. I believe in the work we do and am proud to be a member of this organization. “I am so happy that you and I share the same team.”

“Finally, thank NZ for your beautiful birthday gifts. They were extravagant, but very much appreciated,” said Zlochevsky, Burisma founder and former president. “Let’s discuss the editorial tomorrow or on Saturday. I have some ideas that I would like to share.”
