A terrorist attack in Tel Aviv’s streets Tuesday afternoon left at least seven people wounded before an armed civilian took down the attacker.
The Times of Israel reported seven people wounded after a Palestinian drove a truck into Israelis and then got out of it to start stabbing them.
Jerusalem Post reported nine wounded.
A civilian shot the attacker and killed him. The civilian stated, “I prayed that the gun would go off or I’d be dead.”
A pregnant woman lost her baby as a result of the attack.
CNN reported that Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack and Palestinian Islamic Jihad applauded it.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, commented on the incident. He said, “Whoever believes that this attack will discourage us from fighting terrorism, is wrong.” He does not understand the spirit of Israel, its government, citizens, and soldiers.
