Michelle Obama’s Oppression Tweet Sparks Backlash

Everybody in life has to deal with some form of disadvantage. In grade school, almost all children are called a few nasty names. Some children are oppressed or abused by an absent, drunken, or abusive parent. Some may be stuck in horrible schools or in extreme poverty. Others are not blessed with high IQs, or the drive to succeed. There are many reasons why people do not go to Ivy League colleges and pursue lucrative careers. “Oppression” can take on different forms.

You may be the first black family to live in the White House, but you will still face oppression if there are only two island waterfront mansions available for your enjoyment. You may have to jet off to the Greek islands to spend time with your Hollywood friends at their Aegean Island private mansion. The People have covered the sad exile of the former first family in recent weeks.

Tom Hanks and Barack Obama can’t resist a sun-filled holiday together.

The 44th president, 61, as well as former first lady Michelle Obama, 59, and their daughters, Sasha, 22, and Malia, 24, met up with some famous friends for lunch on the Greek Island of Sifnos, as captured in photos obtained by theDaily Mail.

Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson, and the family were seen dining on the beach with both parties during a summer trip to the Aegean Sea.

According to The Mail, the group was shuttled from the yacht docked near the restaurant to the beautiful restaurant. It’s not the first occasion the friends have gathered aboard a luxury vessel.

In April 2017, Barack, Michelle, and Hanks enjoyed a trip aboard the yacht of music mogul Dave Geffen. Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, and others were present at that glamorous event.

The Rising Sun was Geffen’s 450-foot vessel and was valued at $300 million. It was the 11th biggest yacht in the World at the time.

The thought of these victims struggling to survive, on a yacht, or on a terrace bathed by gentle Mediterranean breezes, is enough to make one’s heart swell with compassion. The Obamas, however, have mostly borne the burden of their oppression with dignity. The racist Supreme Court’s racist ruling that universities cannot discriminate against Asian and white applicants was the final straw for Michelle Oahu of Martha’s Vineyard. The former First Lady of the United States took to Twitter to express her disgust at such racist and oppressive racism. Take a look:

Michelle begins by pointing out one of the many negatives of affirmative action:

In college, I was the only Black student on campus and I was very proud to be accepted into such a prestigious school. I knew that I had worked hard to get there. Still, I wondered sometimes if others thought that I had achieved my goals because of affirmative action. Students like me could not shake the shadow of a doubt, regardless of whether it came from outside or within our minds.

This alone is enough reason to ban the practice. Now, it’s impossible to look at a black woman holding a prominent role without thinking that she doesn’t deserve it. It is damaging to her self-confidence and her authority. It also harms those who are affected by her decision if she isn’t the right person for the position.

Michelle, do you think that her white family members would have ever seen the White House? It’s hard to believe that a first-term Senator with no executive experience, and enough ties to communists and domestic terrorism to prevent him from getting basic security clearance was otherwise an attractive candidate.

Michelle, Sasha, and Malia enjoyed their vacation with the one-percenters, but Mrs. Obama continues to criticize the advantages that rich kids have.

The island girl says, “Today’s a reminder to us that we have to work hard not only to implement policies that reflect our values but also to make these values real in our schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.” She could start a trail of equity by selling a high-end property in her family portfolio and sponsoring promising scholars with the skin tone she deems worthy.
