Viktor Shokin: Biden Demanded My Firing to Protect Son’s Business

Viktor Shokin, a former Ukrainian prosecutor, speaks out after Vice President Joe Biden forced his dismissal. Biden boasted in a now infamous video about his ability to hijack American aid and force Shokin (who he called corrupt) to be fired.

Since the tape was released, we have learned a lot more about the case, including that Hunter Biden was the son of the president and worked for the company Shokin investigated. Mykola Zlochevsky, the co-founder of that company, was implicated in a later FBI FD-1023 document where a confidential source claimed he said Burisma had hired Hunter Biden to fire Shokin.

Shokin speaks to Fox News about what happened at that time. The full interview will be released on Saturday.

“I don’t want to talk about unproven facts but I am certain that this was true. They were bribed. Is it not enough that Joe Biden offered $1 billion US dollars in exchange for me being fired, or dismissed?

Joe Biden, as we reported recently, was almost certain to have known Shokin was investigating Burisma at the time. The then-vice President met Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s most important business associate, only days before the official trip to Kyiv. The mainstream media spun a story at the time that Shokin was hopelessly crooked to protect the elder Biden, even though no real evidence was ever presented to support that claim.

Joe Biden, to put it simply, inserted himself into American foreign policy toward Ukraine. He used this power to fly to Kyiv to fire a prosecutor who was investigating a company that his son was heavily involved with. Shokin has a right to suspect the Bidens of being bribed.

It is important to note that this scandal did not require a single penny of money to have been exchanged. The fact that a vice president held U.S. funds hostage for his son’s (and possibly his) benefit is enough to be considered objectively corrupt. The entire situation is similar to what Democrats accused Donald Trump of before impeaching him for the first time. Where are these same Democrats today? This is a rhetorical question.

I’ve always found it amazing that the original video, which surfaced in 2019, showing that Biden had hijacked aid for Shokin to be fired, was not treated seriously. Four years on, perhaps we will finally begin to have a political reckoning with what happened.
