Zach Bryan is a rising county music star and he was arrested on Thursday in rural Oklahoma.
The 27-year-old singer/songwriter was arrested at the Craig County Jail in Vinita, Oklahoma, on obstruction charges. He was soon released.
Bryan’s spokesperson did not immediately respond to our request for comment. What led to him being detained is unclear.
At 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Bryan apologized in detail for his arrest.
He said that an “incident” with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol that occurred on Thursday caused his emotions to “get the best of him”. Bryan apologized and said he would support law enforcement in any way possible.

The “Something in the Orange” singer said that the interaction with law enforcement was unlike him and he was “just frustrated in the moment.”
“I’m just doing my best,” he concluded.
Bryan concluded his statement by saying “Prayers for us to move forward, and that people will understand I am doing my best.” “I love you all and I’m truly sorry to the officers. ”
Bryan posted an image with the caption, “On the road, I’m gonna watch the birds win.”
Bryan confirmed to X, formerly Twitter, that his dog, upon being asked about it after his release from jail was “perfect, fed and snoozing while riding shotgun. ”
The Oologah, Oklahoma, native recently won the Academy of Country Music Award for “New Male Artist Of The Year.”
On August 25, his self-titled album was released. Bryan, a U.S. Navy veteran, started sharing his music on YouTube while still in the Navy. His viral hit “Heading South”, released in 2019, caught the attention and interest of millions.
In May of last year, his first major label album “American Heartbreak” was released with a 34-song tracklist. It reached number five on the Billboard 200.
