Warner Music Signs First AI Pop Star in History

Every day, the world becomes more and more creepier. Men are wearing fake breasts and shaving their genitals while reading stories to children in libraries. They also teach them that it is perfectly acceptable to be the opposite gender.

It can’t get creepier, can it? The weirdness is at a fever pitch, but things will settle down soon.

Nope. They won’t. Things have actually gotten even stranger. What’s going on, you may ask?

The two-word phrase Artificial intelligence.

After decade upon decade of science fiction fare plastered across cinema screens all over the world, informing mankind of the dangers of playing God by attempting to create an intelligent, sentient being made in its own image, we have apparently decided not to view this material as a warning, but as an instructional manual. Now we are working on creating the potential tool of our own destruction, and we’re doing it for its entertainment value.

Warner Music, according to a recent report by Breitbart News, has signed an artificial intelligence called Noonoouri to a record label. This is not a joke, ladies and gentlemen. Guess which genre this “artist” is from? Pop.

Taylor Swift, beware!

Noonoouri, 38-year-old DJ Alle Farben made a guest appearance on Noonoouri’s first hit song, which was released officially last week. The Independent reported that developers had taken a singer’s voice, cut it up, and then sewed it back together — digitally — to give the AI her own voice. Wait. It’s a Noonoouri.

As with other songs, musicians, and songwriters that contributed to the production of a song get royalties as well as a split of publishing rights.

Breitbart has more information on this bizarre event.

According to the credits of the song on YouTube, Noonoouri’s song about “the impact of our actions and the interconnectedness of all things” features an AI-generated vocal from two music veterans Leonardo Martinelli, and Rafa Cavano.

Joerg Zumber, the Noonoouri creator, also chose to have the avatar wear Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand shapewear.

Zuber commented on her first music video on Instagram: “After working for two years on this project, we can finally share this incredible teamwork. Thank you @warnermusic.de, for believing in us. #TheBeginning.”

Noonoouri, an 18-year-old metaverse avatar was created in 2018. She then went on to star as a fashion model in campaigns for Dior Balenciaga, and Valentino. AI singing stars have been embraced in lieu of human performers, and this hasn’t gone unnoticed.

It’s amazing that we can create artificial intelligence, and then program it to sing to us. Are we that lazy? There’s still no way that artificial intelligence could ever capture the essence of what it is to be human.

But that’s not going to stop us from trying, is it?

It reminds me of Ian Malcolm from “Jurassic Park.” We’ve been so preoccupied with whether or not we could, we didn’t stop to ask whether or not we should.

What’s worse? Maybe we knew and didn’t even care.
