Joe Biden made a speech on Thursday asking for more funding for Israel, Ukraine, and Gaza. He is heading to his campaign reception and then bailing out late Friday night, while Americans and Israelis remain hostages of Hamas and our forces continue to be attacked in the Middle East.
This is a very bad look, to put it mildly. However, we did get some good news: Hamas has reportedly freed two hostages. The Hamas statement mentions the Qataris’ intercession, but it is not clear exactly what led to this release.
Biden had one “work” activity scheduled for Friday: a meeting between Charles Michel, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission in preparation for the U.S.-EU Summit.
It didn’t go well at first when he could not get his notes in order. Without detailed notes, he can’t make even simple remarks. When they became stuck together, his fumbling was evident.
He’s in big trouble if the script is stuck together. He has no idea what to say so he starts blathering.
When Biden deviates from the script, he’s in trouble.
He was a little off when he spoke of his “Uncle Frank” and how he had given him the Purple Heart.
There is no proof that the story is true, or that Biden’s Uncle Frank received a Purple Heart. The White House never offered any proof to back up this story when asked. It’s not true. Fact Check says that they could not find any evidence of Frank Biden being awarded a Purple Heart either during his lifetime or after his death.
You can hear people reacting to the story. What will they do if they discover that the story Biden told them was not supported by evidence? That’s the biggest problem with him – we have a looser cannon in power. How many times has this been said? What must the leaders of these countries think about him?
Biden did not take any questions at the end, even though reporters would have been able to ask a lot about the Israeli conflict and the hostages that Hamas is still holding.
