Graphic Photos of Murdered Babies in Israel Released After Demands for ‘Proof’

One of the most shocking news reports that came out of Israel after Hamas’ deadly attack was a report by an Israeli media outlet that the recovery teams found 40 murdered infants, and the number could be higher. Some of the babies were also reportedly beheaded or burned alive.

Initially, there was a lot of skepticism. Some claimed that the i24 journalist had “retracted” her claim. It was not true, but it quickly became irrelevant after CBS News, CNN, and other mainstream outlets confirmed that the atrocities took place. Then, it was reported that Secretary of State Antony Blinken saw the photos. This further confirmed what had occurred.

Still, some remained skeptical, and after days of denials and demands for proof, pictures have been released.

Several reasons are behind my decision to not include the images within this article. The images are so horrifying that I don’t recommend looking for them. You will never be able to unsee these images. You can easily locate them on social media if you or someone you know is skeptical.

What do these pictures show? The first picture shows a baby with blood on its face in a body bag without zipped closure. The child looks to be around six months old. A second photo shows the charred remains of a baby who was burned alive by terrorists who invaded the Kibbutz. This is as far as I am comfortable with describing the photos.

It’s the fact that this has even happened, that really angers me. It was unnecessary to show pictures of the babies who were killed. This story was confirmed more than any other in recent history. There were multiple governments, and upwards of a dozen news outlets that all said these babies had been murdered. There were people, even alleged “journalists”, who suggested that the whole scene was manufactured disinformation by the Israeli military.

Why would anyone question Hamas’ barbarism? For decades, we’ve watched them torture civilians and kill them. They have used children as human barriers. They’ve been known to locate their headquarters under a hospital. Hamas is the entity that deserves the most benefit of the doubt. Why was it so quick to dismiss these claims?

This does not mean that all Palestinians should be killed as a form of retribution. Israel shouldn’t deliberately target civilians to exact revenge, as some people have suggested. The people who make these calls are not better. No matter who the women or children are, there is no reason to deliberately target them.

Hamas has been doing this for many years. Denying the atrocities of the past week would be like denying the Holocaust at this stage. At least 1,200 are dead. They did not just disappear. They were not just collateral damage to a larger military campaign. There’s plenty of evidence to suggest that they were targeted and many were killed in horrifying ways.

Those pictures didn’t need to be seen by anyone, but for those who wanted proof, now you have it. Sadly, this won’t satisfy some.
