Former spokesperson for First Lady Jill Biden, a former spokesperson of President Biden’s Team, exploded on Tuesday at the team over his deteriorating poll numbers. She called it “inexcusable” while warning Biden to revamp his team.
Michael LaRosa – a political and communications strategist who worked as Jill Biden’s press secretary between January 2021 to August 2022 – slammed the Biden team in a series of three social media posts after a CNN poll showed that former President Donald Trump had higher ratings for favorability, among other indicators.
LaRosa posted on X that “New CNN poll: Trump has more favorables+Biden, has more unfavorable.” This is unacceptable for a man who has been universally praised for his integrity and character. This is the result of months of not responding to smears and lies, conspiracy theories, or disinformation.
“Shameful that POTUS’s team has allowed this narrative to congeal over the past two years,” LaRosa continued in the second part, which he has since deleted. “The only people who can help change the people around [President Biden] is [Jill Biden]. It’s up to her. These are the same people who got him 4th in Iowa, 5th in [New Hampshire], and a distant 2nd to a socialist in [Nevada].”
LaRosa called for a reorganization of Biden’s staff.
He wrote: “I have been a squeaky wheel for months, arguing that this is the wrong way to respond to GOP attacks against Biden’s reputation, integrity + family.” “Poll after survey validates what I’ve said and written for months.” It will appear that he cares and sees the same [numbers] as we do if he changes his team.
LaRosa referred to a CNN survey published on Tuesday, which showed that both Trump and Biden struggled in terms of favorability. However, Trump performed better.
According to the survey, 38 percent of respondents see Trump favorably while 56 percent do not. Biden was viewed positively by 36 percent of respondents, while 59 percent viewed him negatively.
A year before the elections of 2024, the poll showed that Trump had a slight advantage over Biden. Trump is ahead of Biden by 49 percent among registered voters.
CNN’s poll is just the latest of a number that shows Trump doing better than Biden before the election. This includes battleground states.
Not only the former MSNBC producer who is a regular guest on CNN has criticised Biden’s staff. Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s morning show “Morning Joe”, criticized his staff over the summer because they failed to prevent him from falling or looking lost on stage.
Her monologue made reference to Biden’s public fall at a U.S. Air Force Academy commencement ceremony in June. The White House stated that Biden tripped on a sandbag and was “doing absolutely fine” afterward.
“Yes, I believe his staff should own his age. I will be honest. I do not think that they are doing a great job of helping the president. For example, if you manage a President’s schedule and you are coordinating a President getting on and off stage and doing — getting onto planes and off planes — and yes, it’s 80 years old, you should be there to help him and make a path. You better be sure that he does not fall on a bag of sand,” Brzezinski added.
A White House official responded, “I hope he’s OK.” When asked about posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), a White House spokesperson said,
