As the post-mortem analyses from Tuesday’s off-year elections continue to roll in, there is some welcome news emerging from here in Loudoun County, Virginia: Buta Biberaj, the Soros-backed commonwealth’s attorney who was soft on criminals, preferring instead to prosecute concerned parents, has been defeated by her Republican opponent, Bob Anderson.
Biberaj’s most notorious actions are her refusal to press charges against a boy who raped two girls at high schools in the county. While the school board failed to warn parents of the dangers that existed within their schools following the first rape; Biberaj did not. The boy was able to return to the school where he sexually assaulted another girl.
Her shameful behavior got worse. Scott Smith, the father of the first victim of rape, was physically removed from a meeting by the security guards, and he got bloodied. Biberaj then charged him with “disorderly behavior.”
Glenn Youngkin has pardoned Smith. Biberaj was clearly angry and spent months mocking and fighting the Smith family via X/Twitter.
@scottsm25937858 you are constantly showing your lack of humanity. Just remember on judgment day, you will be judged by your deeds and words. There is ZERO need to be this hateful to anyone especially Congresswoman Wexton. Step down and apologize for your hate. https://t.co/UrYWD5xlRK

Here in LoCo, we had to deal with this. She is not a good person.
Biberaj is a man of incompetence and immaturity, who has a passion for injustice. This is the clearest example. She really irritated voters when she told her office earlier this year to stop prosecuting misdemeanors, allowing repeat offenders to get away scot-free. Imagine what happened: shoplifting rose, dangerous drivers were allowed on the roads, and petty thieves felt empowered to target residents knowing Biberaj was protecting them.
Buta Biberaj lost at the polls. Anderson won despite being outspent 12-to-1 by Biberaj. Biberaj, of course, has refused to concede defeat. But Anderson used her favorite platform to announce the truth on Wednesday morning: she’s toast.
The people of Loudoun Co have spoken and last night they chose Bob Anderson as their next Commonwealth’s Attorney.
As of now, all mailed in, early voting, and day of ballots of voters that have been cast have been counted. There are no outstanding ballots at this moment.— Bob Anderson For Lo Co Commonwealth Attorney (@bobanderson4ca) November 8, 2023
It was a narrow loss, yes, but Republicans can learn a few lessons, especially since our Republican Sheriff, Mike Chapman was reelected with ease. One lesson: Democrats who are soft on crime lose their support within their own party. Another example: Even in counties with a majority of blue people, like Loudoun, parents’ rights are still a popular issue. Glenn Youngkin’s ideals may not have been popular in Virginia, but they still resonate with many.
Loudoun County is resounding with a bipartisan choir today, while others lament the GOP’s lackluster performance on Tuesday.
Ding dong, baby. The witch has died.
