Dex Carvey has died aged 32. He was the oldest son of Dana Carvey from “Saturday Night Live”.
Carvey confirmed this news via his social media accounts. He wrote, “Last night, we experienced a terrible tragedy.” Dex, our beloved son, died from an accidental overdose of drugs. “He was 32 years old.”
“Dex packed in a lot of work during those 32 years,” continued the statement. He was very talented in many areas, including music, art, filmmaking, and comedy, which he pursued with passion.
Dex was a man who loved life. When you were with Dex, you too loved life. He made everything enjoyable. He loved Kaylee, his family, and his friends the most. Dex was an amazing person. His hand-made birthday cards are treasures. “We will miss him forever.”

Carvey’s wife Paula and Carvey added their names to the end of this statement.
Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office reports that Dex died Wednesday at his home. The autopsy was conducted on Thursday. However, the cause of death is still unknown.
Dex is the oldest of Carvey and Paula Zwagerman’s two children. Thomas, their youngest child, is 30.
During his stand-up performances, the “Wayne’s World'” star frequently spoke about his sons and they followed in his famous footsteps.
Dex opened for his father on his “Straight White Male” Netflix special in 2016, and appeared in films including “Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser” and the TV miniseries “Beyond the Comics.”
