A transgender woman, Francesca Needham, quit a women’s team in an amateur soccer league after Needham’s strength and power broke the kneecap of an opposing player and other players subsequently refused to play if she was on the field.
Needham, who left the team, is still considering suing the league. I have decided to pursue an investigation into discrimination. It is my belief that this represents a breach of the code governing diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding adults playing football. This code was established by both the Football Association and Sheffield and Hallamshire Women and Girls League.
Needham may have a case against the Football Association (FA), which established rules for transgender players over 16 years of age, including testosterone levels. This player met all the requirements.
Needham said, “I am hopeful that this perceived discrimination will be resolved peacefully and quickly.” ”

The manager said there was no “intent to hurt” or foul play.
The manager of the team that refused Needham’s invitation to play said: “I have 16 and 17-year-old players who are playing for me and their parents did not want to put their wellbeing at risk.”
He said that the issue was more of a “welfare” issue from a club’s perspective, than a transgender one. ”
Fiona McAnena of Fair Play For Women said, “Footballers were separated on the basis of sex for very good reasons.”
“If you put one man on the pitch, he will be stronger and faster.” “It’s clearly unfair and unsafe in a contact sport like football. ”
McAnena added, “For good reason, footballers are separated by gender.” These women chose women’s soccer, not mixed football. ”
McAnena stated that it was not possible to reverse the male puberty.
It doesn’t matter how many times a transgender male clicks three times on his heels while saying, “I am a woman”, no amount of hormone treatment can change a man into a girl. Hear me roar. “
