A man in Ukraine entered a council meeting and casually started setting off grenades within feet of dozens of people. No one ran as he dropped the grenades on the floor, perhaps because they were in disbelief and thought he was kidding.
The blurred parts of this video should help it stay up. Uncensored versions are available on X but will be removed due to terms of service.

The man in the video is a familiar face to all those present. He stood by the door while a woman continued to speak for several seconds. He starts by pulling grenades from his pocket and arming them before throwing them on the floor. The entire meeting is recorded and no part of the scene is missed.
Interfax Ukraine reports that the incident took place in Zakarpattia, a village in Kyiv. The man may have been a local depute (political variant) and that is why no one responded. According to various sources, at least one person was killed and injury claims ranged from 11 to 26.
On its Facebook page, the National Police reported that “today at 11.37 am, line 102 was notified by a deputy who had thrown grenades into the Kerensky Village Council of Mukachevo District during a meeting.”
The National Police reported that preliminary information indicated that the explosion caused the death of one person, namely the fuse, and injured 11 others.
I tend to doubt that only the deputy died. The grenades were thrown within inches of several individuals. The attacker has not revealed a motive. More details are likely to be released as this story develops.
