Manhunt for Serial Killer Grips Los Angeles as Death Toll Rises

Los Angeles authorities, who have struggled to address the homelessness crisis for years in the city, urged “unhoused individuals” to “come in” on Friday. They said that they believe a serial killer has been loose and is targeting people sleeping outdoors alone.

According to the authorities, three shootings occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, Monday morning, and Wednesday morning. One victim was shot on a couch in a back alley. One victim was shot while asleep on the sidewalk. The third victim was pushing a shopping cart and stopped near an outdoor power outlet, and he was killed.

He said that in all three cases, a single suspect approached, fired, then walked away. Police released an image of the vehicle that they believe could be a suspect.

Michel Moore, the city’s chief of police, has described the suspect as an individual wearing a simple hoodie, and no other clothing. No eyewitnesses are known. Detectives are still in the early stages of the investigation but believe that the same person is responsible for all three murders.

The victims were not near or in a homeless camp, but on the street alone.

Moore stated that they did not know the motivation behind the attack, but that it was directed at three people who were homeless and sleeping on the streets.

He added that the victims had little else in common except for being homeless.

He warned that those who are lonely will not be alone after Mayor Karen Bass had urged them to seek shelter.

Bass promised: “We will find and catch you. You will be held responsible.”
