Most would agree that Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) is a national treasure thanks in part to his clever wit and ability to not mince words and get straight to the heart of the matter.
In a recent Fox News Interview with Kayleigh MacEnany who was a guest host for “Primetime’s” Jesse Watters, he proved this once again.
Topics of discussion included President Joe Biden’s border crisis and the threat by the Biden administration to sue Texas, and its Republican Governor, Greg Abbott, for measures taken to secure their border, since Joe Biden will not.
Kennedy used Biden’s remarks to a reporter, about the media coverage before he left on another vacation, to launch a discussion of how the left-wing press cannot help Biden in this stage of his presidency with the serious issues at the southern border. Record numbers are pouring across the border.
Let’s look at what Kennedy was talking about before we move on to his remarks:
Kennedy, with his usual flair, focused on Biden’s border failures in a way that only he could:
“Kayleigh last Saturday, President Biden attributed his lack of popularity to the media. Truthfully, most media members have been trying to help him. In my state, for instance, the two biggest newspapers are owned by the loony wing of the Democratic Party and are published as such. In Louisiana, however, Biden is as unpopular as herpes.
Why? Why? First, people in Louisiana aren’t stupid. They think that the Biden administration has a lot of stupidity. They believe that the stupidity of the Biden administration extends from the river to the sea.
The open border is Exhibit A. Biden, the president, has dismantled the southern border. Joe Biden is the man responsible for our problems on the southern border. The people of Louisiana, as well as the American public, know this.
He blames the media, however, for his lack of popularity. It is hard to believe the president could be so obtuse. If you asked him where Jordan was, I’m sure he’d say retired. “But that’s where America is today.”
Kennedy is not mistaken in this regard. Biden consistently scores poorly in polls on the topic of illegal immigration. Voters also rank it as the top issue that they will consider before going to the voting booth. You can understand the voters’ feelings when you look at what happens daily at the border and his reaction to those who try to solve the problem.
Joe Biden’s policies of open borders will not allow the border crisis to disappear in 2024. That’s it.
