As Poland is a NATO member, the U.S. may be required to defend it under the NATO agreement if the “attack” is considered.
The Ukrainian military reported that Russia had targeted Ukraine overnight with 158 drones, missiles, and rockets, targeting critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, and military installations.
It’s still not known where the missile landed. The search is ongoing, but so far they have not found the missile. There have also been no reported casualties.
A similar missile was fired near Przewodow, in southern Poland, in November 2022. While this did not lead to NATO’s involvement, it raised serious concerns.
