An article mocking Vivek Ramaswamy’s character was published on Tuesday.
In the headline, “Trump promises Vivek a position in the administration running the White House 7-11,” there is a clear illusion of the “Vivek MAGA Again” and “Vivek MAGA Not” whiplash we’ve seen from the Trump Team over the last three days.
Satire has many layers, and the joke goes much deeper than that.

The fake quote is: “I’ll take what I can get at this time.”
You should also consider the Joe Biden connection. The president made an infamous comment in 2006 about Indian Americans. This is what I would assume was the inspiration behind this line.
“I’m not kidding. ”
Several very large accounts that support Trump were also offended.
Since Biden is the one who made the comment, the joke should have been something with him in it. Then it would have been funny.

So is the joke that Trump values him so poorly that he only sees him as a clerk at 7-11… or that you think he’s a clerk at 7-11 because of a tired stereotype about Indian people?

Are we on the right now to start putting boundaries around comedy? Don’t the Left do that? It’s funny how Ramaswamy supported Trump throughout his campaign, only to see him eliminated from the race for Vice President while Nikki Haley remained in the running.
Could we not add stereotypes and make it funny? If this piece had targeted Joe Biden directly, it would have been hilarious.
Seth Dillon, CEO of The Bee is Seth Dillon. He answered the question perfectly.

The Bee has no sacred cows, which is why The Onion is consistently funnier.
