Michelle Obama is “terrified” by the results of the US presidential election.
In a recent podcast interview, Jay Shetty asked Obama what her greatest fears are. She began by listing some common fears, including war, the impact of artificial intelligence on society, climate change, phone addictions, and “knowing too much”. This was a reference to Obama’s husband who, as former leader of the free world, had access to sensitive information.
She then listed the election dates for 2024.
What is going to happen in the next election? I’m afraid of the possible outcomes because our leaders are so important. Obama stated that those who are on the bully pulpit and those who select us, are all very important.
You know that many people think that the government is a bad thing. Does it do anything? ‘ “Oh, my God!” Does your government take care of everything? We cannot assume that democracy is a given. She said, “I worry about these things sometimes.

Michelle Obama fears that Americans may disagree with her.
This comment shows a view of government that, ironically, would have horrified the founders. They believed in limited governments and not an enormous bureaucracy with millions of employees who control almost every aspect of society.
Thomas Jefferson wrote it in 1821.
If Washington becomes the center of all power for domestic and foreign governments, then the checks one government writes to another government will lose their power and they will become as corrupt and oppressive as the government that we left.
It was not surprising that Michelle Obama said the government does “everything” for us, but it surprised me to hear her say it out loud.
Ironically those who oppose Obama’s views on government, are terrified of her view.
