Ron DeSantis Drops Mic at Fox Town Hall, Silences Protesters with Razor-Sharp Quip

How did Fox select the people who would attend the town hall meeting with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis?

They let in protesters with a large banner and at least two of the questions seemed to have been asked by Democrats.

DeSantis had just finished answering a question about abortion when suddenly, protesters ran up from the crowd, unfurled a banner, and briefly blocked DeSantis on camera. They shouted “No oil money! No oil money!”

DeSantis was not having it.

“You live with them and learn from them, right?” DeSantis said.

He told them that they had agitated at the wrong person on this issue: “You guys did not get that right.”

The radicals appear to come from the Sunrise Movement.

The security seemed to pile on pretty quickly.

He was clear in saying that he supported fracking. The oil protesters would not be pleased.

He also said a few things about his Republican rivals, claiming he was most attacked by Democrats. Trump may contest this one. DeSantis stated that if the media did not like him, then it should be considered a negative recommendation.

He said that if Donald Trump, the former president were to run for office, the campaign would be filled with legal questions and controversy.

DeSantis has said that he will take action against the FBI.

DeSantis’ problem is that he still doesn’t poll well in comparison to Trump. He hasn’t been able to make any progress in the polls since the debates. A questioner asked him what he thought of that, and he gave a straightforward answer.

“If you’re a conservative, I’m your guy. Vote me in the caucus and you could make history.
