Think again if you thought that the Biden administration was going to respond quickly and effectively to the recent murder of three U.S. troops by Iran-controlled militias. Five days have passed since the attack, but no retaliatory attacks have been carried out.
In a stunning display of cowardice and utter incompetence, Biden, his “intelligence community”, and their cohorts are now acting as defense lawyers for Iran.
NEW: Intelligence officials have calculated that Tehran does not have full control over its proxy groups in the Middle East, including those responsible for attacking and killing U.S. troops in recent weeks.https://t.co/Or6sirJOTF

According to two U.S. government officials who are familiar with the issue, intelligence officials calculated that Tehran did not have complete control over its proxy group in the Middle East. This includes those groups responsible for the recent attacks and deaths of U.S. soldiers.
Quds Force, an elite branch within Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, is responsible for supplying weapons, military advisers, and intelligence to militias and Houthis groups in Yemen and Iraq. Officials said that the groups had varying agendas and ambitions which often overlapped, but Tehran did not seem to have full control over their operational decisions.
The disclosure could make it difficult to predict the actions of these groups, but it could also reduce the likelihood that the U.S. would be drawn into a direct conflict with Iran. If there is any indication that Tehran had a direct role in the attack or was involved directly, retaliation by the U.S. against Iran would be more likely.
You must always ask why a leak happened in the media. The White House is not just hesitant to act against Iran’s aggression. We are seeing reports that “intelligence officials”, who are under their control, claim that Iran hasn’t been involved.
This assertion is absurd. Those IRGC officers who are always in Iraq don’t go there to take advantage of the nightlife and beaches. They’re there to deliver intelligence and brief Iran’s proxy forces. Qasem Solimani, who was made into sausage in Bagdad by Iranian-backed militias, was there at the time.
It is semantics to claim that the Mullahs don’t have “full control”. Iran may not dictate when militia members eat dinner, but it is clear that Iran provides weapons and helps to identify targets. Even if this wasn’t true, Iran’s financial support would still make it responsible.
Biden’s actions are disgraceful. He is so worried about his shrinking re-election chances that he’s afraid to act in the face of blatant aggression that has killed U.S. troops. Even if there are strikes, they have already been telegraphed so that high-value targets won’t be hit. We’re likely to hit a few empty militia bases in Syria or Iraq, and then call it a night. This will give Iran a green light to continue with its attacks.
Weakness comes at a price. Nobody is advocating a full-scale conflict with Iran. However, letting its leaders off the hook will have grave consequences in the future, which could include the deaths of many more Americans. It is better to strike Iran directly to provide a deterrent for the future. Biden seems to be happy to sell out his country, reinforcing the perverted Iranian system of aggression, to achieve what he views as a short-term gain.
