Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, met Joe Biden at the bottom of the Air Force One stairs after he had walked down them in sneakers to prevent him from tripping. The two held hands while she led him to Marine One across the tarmac.

This prompted a lot of comments and ridicule.

The NY Post covered one of the comments that was made on X. It was consistent with their general impression of their walk. They called it a “nursing-home reunion” look. One person called it “On Golden Pond II”, referring to the Henry Fonda/Katherine Hepburn film about an elderly couple.

This take on the “Visiting Angels” commercial was especially savage.

Biden visited San Francisco for some political events. He also met with Yulia Navalnya, the widow of Alexei Navalny, and her daughter Dasha. He said that his wife Dasha and daughter Yulia were following in the footsteps of Navalny.

Biden announced that he would be announcing Russian sanctions in response to the death of Navalny on Friday.

He lost his words midway through the sentence, without a teleprompter. Midway through this sentence, he seemed to forget what he had been trying to say.

“One thing was made very clear to me. Yolanda will continue to fight…out of the way? Not letting up.” He then turned and left without answering any questions.

I’m not certain what he was trying to say. He just met her, and he’s already forgotten/confused Yulia. What the hell happened to Yolanda? He said the same thing when he met Queen Rania of Jordan, whom he called “Rihanna.”

He didn’t know he was wrong either way.

Many people who commented on Biden’s meeting with Navalnya also pointed out that he had met them much more quickly than with East Palestine, Ohio. He waited more than a full year to meet them. Then, when the election campaign began, he realized that he had to win Ohio.

The Americans were from an area that supported Trump, and he had plenty of time to take vacations. They were not a priority for Biden.
