Never Trump has used the establishment Republicans to try to undermine Trump’s strong base of supporters, which he has successfully carried through countless propaganda blitzkriegs throughout the years.
Establishment figures such as John Bolton and Chris Sununu, the Governor of New Hampshire (who recently toured the country to support Nikki Haley), etc. On MSNBC, for example, they are a regular fixture.
You can see how we got into this mess by observing the irony that a Republican Governor appeared on state-run media alongside the former Press Secretary (propagandist), who was the press secretary for the current Democrat President. This helps to blunt Republican attacks against President Biden and gives them a new attack line on Donald Trump.
Beltway strategists, posing journalists, like Lamire, don’t realize, or may have a vague idea, but are unable to act on it, that Trump’s base of support will only grow harder the more they use Nikki Haley and the more attacks they make against Trump. Trump supporters are more likely to hate corporate media than any scandalous conduct by Trump, real or imagined.
The problem is that corporate state media does not have any cachet with either the GOP base or the independents. Only those who already support the Brandon entity, and its interests, are likely to have their opinion swayed.
