Graham Demands Answers: DOJ and DHS Under Fire on ‘Brazen’ NYC Police Attack by Illegal Migrants

Published on

Lindsey Graham, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, demanded answers from the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security on their actions concerning the illegal immigrants who attacked New York City Police Officers but were released with no bail.

In an open letter addressed to Merrick Garland, Attorney General of New York and Homeland Sec. Graham said: “I am not surprised by the latest consequences of President Biden’s illegal immigration crisis. I was saddened but not shocked to hear about a violent beating near Times Square in New York. Alejandro Mayorkas asked what they would do in response to the brazen attack.”

Graham asked, “Will the aliens responsible for this attack be deported?” “If so, then when?” “If no, why not?”

DHS and the Justice Department have not responded to requests for comment on the letter. Makorkas may face an impeachment trial in the House after the House Homeland Security Committee voted to impeach Makorkas this week.

At least seven illegal immigrants attacked two New York City Police officers near Times Square over the weekend. Following their arrest, they were released without bail.

According to the New York Post, surveillance footage released by the New York Police Department shows an NYPD Officer telling a group of people to move along around 8:30 pm on Saturday on Manhattan’s West 42nd Street. It appears that officers are trying to subdue someone on the ground.

They then kicked the officers before fleeing and being arrested. According to the NYPD, they are Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel (age 19), Kelvin Serat Izquiel (age 19), Wilson Juarez (21) Jhoan Bouada (22), and Yorman Reveron (24).

Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said, “An investigation has begun.”

Boada gave both reporters and photographers the middle finger as he walked past. Boada smirked and was wearing a Los Angeles Lakers black shirt with khakis when he left.
