Joe Biden’s mental stumbles might have been due to his tendency to make “gaffes” over the years. This time is long gone, and today’s situation is genuinely frightening.
The United States of America is still the most powerful country on Earth. But its leader is a man who is so mentally ill and he speaks to dead people.

Remember that in 2022 Biden shouted out Rep. Jackie Walorski during a speech. What’s the problem? A month before, she had died in a car crash. Normal people don’t make these kinds of mistakes. These are not the types of mistakes that a president should make. He is expected to be at his best and be ready to make decisions and process information quickly.
Peter Doocy, a Fox News reporter, pressed Karine Jeanne-Pierre about this latest incident. He asked how the White House planned to convince voters that Biden wasn’t too young when he kept having these “moments.” Peter Doocy, a Fox News reporter, pressed Karine Jean-Pierre on this latest incident. .@pdoocy: “How is President Biden ever going to convince the three-quarters of voters who are worried about his physical and mental health that he is ok, even though in Las Vegas he told a story about recently talking to a French president who died in 1996?”

Biden’s handlers are in a bad situation. The handlers are stuck with a man who is genuinely senile and has no other way out. What can they do but pretend that what is happening doesn’t exist?
In politics, you can usually try at least a few things. You could change your message strategy. You could do more public appearances to improve your image. There are no guarantees, but there are still options.
Jean-Pierre is stuck in his role as Biden’s director of communications. He is who he is and is a huge liability going into the election of 2024. It’s not possible to hide that he seems to have dementia. Saying it is a rabbit hole to discuss this issue is itself an admission. Jean-Pierre is aware that it’s a losing argument.
What choice do they have? The DNC rigged the primaries to make sure Biden didn’t have a real opponent. It’s now February. They will have to promote Kamala, who may be worse than Biden in the eyes of voters if they remove him. Last summer, high-level Democrat officials should have had a heart-to-heart with President Obama and insisted that he did not run for a third term.
This assumes that Biden, who views himself as an iconic statesman and not the jokey man everyone else sees would have even listened. He appears to be determined to go down with the ship. If that is the outcome, then it’s all good.
