Jen Psaki, the former Biden White House Press Secretary now working for MSNBC, is unhappy. Psaki, who is a water carrier for Joe Biden, has had a particularly tough four days following the release of Hur Report. She let her hypocrisy take over her on Sunday’s “Meet the Press” episode.
Psaki is upset by the “unfairness” of the Hur Report’s description of Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with poor memory,” and she believes the media should do more to challenge it.
Psaki believes that the “mainstream media” is not doing enough to support Joe, nor are they attacking Donald Trump.
You’re probably banging your head on the wall if you’re in the White House or campaigning right now. Given all the events that happened in the last week, including the fact, and I am sure you asked Chris Christie, that Donald Trump suggested yesterday that Vladimir Putin could attack NATO allies at will. And what we see instead is wall-to-wall coverage about whether a guy four years older than the opponent is old enough to be president.
Trump’s statement that he’d encourage Russia to do “whatever the hell they want” in case it attacked a NATO nation that “didn’t pay its bills” is both irresponsible and dangerous. Was he serious? Vladimir Putin did hear it. Xi Jinping also heard it. It was heard by the mad mullahs of Tehran, as well as “Little Rocket Man”, in North Korea.
Psaki, who is the Democrats’ favorite target, tried to play the “whataboutism” card by attacking Trump. But it didn’t work.
Brendon Buck (former press secretary for former Speaker John Boehner) suggested to the panelists that Biden “bring this out.” [Trump’s NATO remarks].
It is the president’s responsibility to attack his opponent and bring this out. The president doesn’t take advantage of the Super Bowl Sunday opportunity. He doesn’t take any opportunity. We hear it over and over again.
Psaki disagreed, interjecting:
Oh, no! The truth is not being told. Barack Obama has traveled as much as Donald Trump. In this media climate, it isn’t easy to get through the Donald Trump cloud. It is true.
Stop the tape Huh? That’s laughable. Biden does not do interviews because the media only cares about “the cloud of Donald Trump?” Please.
Buck fired back:
We heard this from his spokespersons earlier. There are two Joe Bidens, we’re told. One is a super-smart Joe Biden who hasn’t shown his age.
We see him all the time when he comes out. We can’t see it. And we must imagine that some people are making decisions behind closed doors because they have been with Joe Biden, and are also seeing slippage.
The crickets are chirping. Buck was right when he said “Two Joe Bidens.” Psaki was aware of it. We all know. How could she – and we – not know?
Kristen Welker, White House correspondent for NBC News, was also right.
When you look at the polls, 76 percent. It’s not just 50 percent, 76 percent of respondents say that they are concerned about these issues.
The percentage of voters who believe that Joe Biden is not qualified to run for re-election or serve in the White House for many years due to his cognitive decline will only increase.
