On Tuesday night, former President Donald Trump held a town hall with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
He spoke confidently and measuredly, focusing on the general elections, saying that his two priorities would be to control the border and then to “drill, baby drill” to power our economy and ensure our energy independence.
What are the main points to take away from the Town Hall?
He answered the question about wanting “revenge.” This is a Democratic talking point to incite fear of Trump. It’s funny, given the chaos under Joe Biden as compared to Trump. This is all they’ve got left since Biden was such a failure. They can’t even run on this.
But Trump dealt with this question deftly.

Trump said, “My success will be my revenge,” to the approval of a large audience.
He was asked who he wanted as his running mate for vice president and what qualities he looked for in a candidate.
He didn’t claim that he chose people based on their identity. He gave an excellent answer and the best answer is always to choose someone who can be a good President. It’s simple, but it’s the most important thing. It’s funny that you should have looked for this when Barack Obama or Joe Biden made their choices, but they didn’t.
Ingraham was asked who he had on his list of candidates for the job.

She named: Ron DeSantis. Tim Scott. Vivek. Ramaswamy. Byron Donalds. Kristi. Noem. Tulsi. Gabbard.
Trump confirmed that these names were on his list, but he did not say if he had included any others.
He laughed as well at the Democrats who claimed he wouldn’t leave. “These people are insane!”
He said that after the most important thing was someone who would be able to step in as President, you’d want someone to help bring in the voters. He also wanted someone with a “commonsense” who could deal with the many issues they will have to face that “don’t make any sense.”
“Who wants a borderless world? “Who wants high interest rates?” He said, criticizing where Biden had led us, that he would fix things and get energy prices down.
Graham asked Trump if the question had been “settled” and he responded that it was not.

Trump has just muttered that question.
Trump responded dryly: “I resolved that about three months back,” to loud cheers.
