CNN’s Latest Attack on Aaron Rodgers Over Decade-Old Allegations Raises Serious Doubts About Integrity

Published on

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate, caused quite a stir on Tuesday when he revealed that he was in touch with former pro wrestler turned Minnesota Governor (1999-2003), Jesse Ventura. They were discussing the possibility of him running as his vice-presidential running mate.

According to The New York Times Kennedy, whom Democrats see as a serious challenge to Joe Biden’s reelection bid, has been regularly conversing with Rodgers and both during the past few weeks.

Although neither Ventura nor Rodgers have commented publicly on Kennedy’s statement about Rodgers, Kennedy mentioning Rodgers as a strong candidate triggered CNN. One day after the news of RFK Jr.’s VIP shortlist broke, Jake Tapper published a piece in which he claimed Rodgers had expressed conspiracy theories about Sandy Hook’s mass shooting in “private discussions” a decade earlier:

Rodgers shared in private deranged conspiracies about the Sandy Hook 2012 school shootings not being true.

CNN knows that Rodgers shared his stories with two journalists, including Pamela Brown who wrote this article.

Rodgers was then the Green Bay Packers quarterback when Brown met him at a post-Derby party in 2013. She was covering the Kentucky Derby that year for CNN. Rodgers was immediately angry when he learned that Brown worked for CNN and was covering the Kentucky Derby. He accused the media of ignoring important stories. Rodgers discussed the tragic death of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School by a gunman, claiming that it was a government insider job. The media had been ignoring the story.

CNN spoke to a second person who had a similar experience. The person to whom CNN granted anonymity to avoid harassment recalled Rodgers’ claim that “Sandy Hook didn’t happen… All those children never existed” several years earlier. They were all actors.”

The timing and sourcing of this CNN article should be seriously questioned.

It wasn’t long before questions were raised about the sources, the CNN reporter Pamela Brown and the anonymous person.

Brown is said to have made these remarks over 10 years ago, but only now reports on them in full detail.

Two months ago, Brown filled in for Tapper’s CNN show. She referred to a conversation she had with Rodgers, 11 years earlier, where she claimed he was “spouting a very disturbing conspiracy theory debunked to me,” but she did not specify what it was.

There is also the “anonymous” source who was willing to confirm Brown’s claims a day after RFK Jr. confirmed that he would be considering Rodgers as a veep candidate.

There is also bad blood between CNN, Rodgers, and Jeffrey Epstein based on comments Rodgers said about Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show and Jeffrey Epstein back in January after Kimmel criticized Rodgers. (Which Rodgers later walked back)

Tapper’s words at the time are:

Tapper called the statement “false, defamatory and wildly irresponsible. It’s not funny, even if Rodgers tried to be funny.” We’re talking child sex. It’s not funny.”

“I suppose (Disney CEO Bob Iger) now has a query. Does he permit ESPN and this nitwit – I’m not referring to McAfee – to continue having this forum even though they’re smearing someone who has worked for ABC for, I believe, more than 20 years?

Tapper concluded, “I’m not sure if Rodgers believes this makes him appear good.” “I think he looks pathetic.”

Remember what Rodgers publicly said about Sandy Hook 10 years ago.

I don’t say that Brown or CNN’s anonymous sources are lying. Rodgers might have said these things. If he said it, he would lose many fans and those who previously supported him.

What I am saying, however, is that CNN has a notorious history of pushing baseless and/or embellished/overcooked stories and theories about people and issues in such a way as to conveniently advance Democratic narratives and agendas.

Receipts:

Always be sure to question timing and sources.
