At this moment, the scandal of the century unfolds. Political observers are left wondering: Did Joe Biden conspire with the Cookie Monster?
It’s possible that President Obama gave money to Sesame St. to have the characters repeat White House talking points.
Here is the original post that started everything:
“Shrinkflation”, for those who are not familiar with the term is when producers, usually of food, purposely take advantage of consumers by maintaining prices while reducing the amount of products they provide. Biden made “shrinkflation”, a campaign issue and even advertised during the Super Bowl to complain about it.
This is why his use of this talking point is so misleading and pathetic.
The White House has responded in this way:
Was this all just a coincidence or did the White House orchestrate an aggressive political messaging campaign using “Sesame Workshop,” a program that has seen a massive increase in funding from the government under Biden? If you follow the money, it certainly seems to be the latter.
Sesame Street’s entry into the “shrinkflation debate” could raise questions as to whether the White House and Sesame Street worked together to promote talking points that would help Biden. Democrats are increasingly criticizing corporations for “shrinkflation,” in an attempt to shift the blame for rising prices away from the president. A recent CBS News survey found that 55 percent of voters believe Biden’s policies will lead to more inflation. Only 17
Sesame Workshop leaders would like Biden to stifle inflation concerns. Federal spending records reveal that during Biden’s first three years as president, federal agencies awarded Sesame Workshop $23 million. During the Trump years, agencies only gave $8 million to this nonprofit.
A government-funded organization that is supposed to be non-partisan, is pushing talking points on behalf of an administration that is giving them tens and millions of dollars. It’s probably fine.
It is important to note that the plan was successful. The mainstream press rushed to publish articles about Cookie Monster and the “shrinkflation”.
Did Biden smear the Cookie Monster’s hands with taxpayer funds? Although I cannot say for certain, the appearance of improper conduct is present. I have no intention of giving the current president or his handlers any benefit of the doubt.
