The Hur report last month found that Joe Biden had willfully mishandled and disclosed classified data, but that he was too senile for a trial. Biden’s impromptu speech to the nation made things worse. Biden, according to a report, struggled with memory and couldn’t recall when his son Beau passed away.
Joe Biden defended his memory angrily in his unplanned speech and attacked Special Counsel Robert Hur because he brought up Beau when he interviewed him during the investigation.
Biden added, “There’s a reference I don’t even remember when my son passed away.” How in the world could he bring that up? When I was asked that question, I thought, “It’s not their business.”
Hur did not bring it up. Biden did. The transcript of the interview shows that Biden lied about Special Counsel Hur bringing up his son Beau.
Where did you store documents that were related to your active projects during the time you lived at Chain Bridge Road? Hur asked this question during the relevant part of the interview.
“Well, um… I, I, I, I, I don’t know,” Biden replied. “This is, what, 2017, 2018, that area?”
Hur replied, “Yes sir.”
Biden replied, “Remember that in this timeframe my son was either deployed or dying and, so, it was — by the way, at the time I left the Senate, there were many people who encouraged me to run during this period except for the President.” “I am not — and this is not something mean to say. He thought [Hillary Clinton] would have a better chance of winning the presidential election than me. So I had not, I had not, even though I was at Penn, I had still kept the thought that I might run for office in the future. If I ran again, it would be for the presidency. What was going on? In what month had Beau died? “Oh, God, it’s May 30th!”
Rachel Cotton, White House Counsel’s Office, interjected “2015.”
Joe Biden asked, “Was he dead in 2015?”
Unidentified speaker: “May 2015”
Biden reiterated, “It was 2015.”
Robert Bauer, Biden’s assistant, said: “Or I don’t know the month, Sir, but I believe that’s the year.”
Marc Krickbaum, Special Counsel’s Office, added: “That’s correct, Mr. President.”
“And what’s happened in the meantime is that as — and Trump gets elected in November of 2017?” Biden asked.
Joe Biden couldn’t remember the year Donald Trump became president. Then, two people jumped up to correct Biden and said it was 2016.
“’16, 2016. “All right,” Biden replied, “Why do I have the year 2017?”
Edward Siskel, White House Counselor’s Office, said: “That was when you left your office in January 2017”.

In the same exchange, Joe Biden brought up Beau, contradicting his claim last month. He not only could not remember the year Beau passed away, but he didn’t know even the year Donald Trump became president.
