Country Star Morgan Wallen’s Shocking Arrest: Allegedly Throws Chair From Nashville Bar Rooftop

Morgan Wallen, a country music star from Nashville, Tennessee was arrested on Sunday and spent the night in jail.

Eric Church is the owner of the rooftop bar which is located six stories above Broadway Street. Wallen attended the grand opening and was charged with three counts of felony irresponsibility, as well as a count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

The affidavit states that two officers of the Metro Nashville Police Department, who were below on Broadway, claimed that the chair had fallen three feet from them. It also says that the officers interviewed bar staff and witnesses and reviewed security footage, which confirmed Wallen’s actions.

TMZ released blurry video clips. According to reports, Wallen yelled while he was put in the backseat of a police cruiser.

Worrick R. Robinson, Wallen’s attorney, stated in a press release:

Morgan Wallen is a 23-year-old man from Nashville who was arrested for reckless endangerment at 10:53 pm on Sunday. He has been cooperating with authorities.

Wallen was arrested and booked shortly after 12:25 a.m. Around 3:30 a.m. he was released after posting a $15.250 bond at the Davidson County Jail.

Wallen, who won 11 Billboard Music Awards for 2023, has had an impressive career. But this is not his first run-in with the law. In 2020, he was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct outside Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse at around 11 p.m. Wallen’s arrest warrant states that he was removed from the restaurant after “kicking glass items” and getting into verbal altercations with passersby on the street.

Nashville Police said, ‘Wallen is a danger both to himself and the public.”

Wallen was given several opportunities to leave with his friends, but he refused.

Country Music Television (CMT) removed Wallen’s songs after a 2021 controversy, in which Wallen was caught on camera using a racial insult while drunkenly standing outside his home. The ban lasted three years.

CMT representatives said:

We will not tolerate or accept anything that violates our core values.

Wallen’s record label, Big Loud Records, suspended his contract indefinitely.

Wallen apologized for using the slur and accepted full responsibility. He acknowledged that it affected others.

Wallen’s music career has been shattered due to cancellations, criminal allegations, and racial controversy. Wallen is scheduled to appear before the court again on May 3rd. The country singer has scheduled a second day of concerts at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
