Nikki Haley’s New Role: Joining a Prominent Washington Think Tank

Published on

Nikki Haley will join the Hudson Institute, after ending her White House bid last month. Haley was appointed to the Walter P. Stern Chair by the conservative Washington-based think tank that focuses on foreign policy, national security, and international affairs.

Hudson’s CEO and President John P. Walters said in a press release on Monday:

Nikki is an effective leader both in domestic and foreign policies. In an age of political turmoil, she has been a staunch advocate of freedom. Nikki is an excellent addition to the Hudson Team.

In 2020, the Hudson Institute will establish the Walter P. Stern Chair to honor the contributions of former Chairman Walter “Wally” Stern. He played a major role in elevating Hudson Institute’s status in Washington D.C.

Sarah May Stern is the chair of Hudson’s Board of Trustees.

Nikki is an excellent policymaker who is brave and insightful. These qualities have helped Hudson become the influential policy organization it is today. I am pleased to announce that she will be joining the Institute.

Haley made a statement.

They believe that policymakers need to be informed about the facts and the American people must know the solutions to ensure a free, prosperous, and secure future. I am looking forward to partnering with the Hudson Institute to defend the principles that make America the greatest country in the world.

Haley’s foreign policy positions were an important part of her presidential campaign. Haley was vocal about the ongoing conflicts around the world such as with Russia, Ukraine, Hamas, and Israel-Hamas in Gaza.

Vivek RAMASWAMY is an entrepreneur who attacked Haley in August of last year. Haley, who is perceived as a war hawk by Republicans, was attacked on the debate stage in August last year.

I wish all the best for your future career in the board of directors at Lockheed [Martin] and Raytheon.

Haley dropped out of the presidential race after Super Tuesday. However, she still hasn’t endorsed Trump despite signing a pledge with the Republican National Committee that she would support the eventual nominee.

She claimed to be a woman during her concession speech.

Donald Trump now has to earn the votes of those outside our party and within it who did not support him. Hopefully he does.

Former Secretary-of-State Mike Pompeo and former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao have joined the Hudson Institute recently.

Haley received Hudson’s Global Leadership Award for 2018.
