Liberal colleagues are becoming increasingly annoyed by the outrageous threats and antics of a Democratic Boston City Councilwoman who called for “dismantling the White background” in America, and “creating a revolution”.

A municipal hall employee asked to remain anonymous because councilwoman Tania Anderson had made the atmosphere unhealthy. The employee believes Fernandes is “a troubled person” who manipulates other people by accusing them of bigotry. Sources discussed the difficulty of having an aggressive, antisemitic, and verbally abusive individual in the city administration.

Her intimidation is real. The insider continued, “And it works.” They claimed that some members would cave into her demands because “nobody wants to disagree with Tania, because she is unpredictable.”

Fernandes Andersen was elected as mayor of Boston in November 2021. She is said to be the “first formally undocumented African-born immigrant and first Muslim in the city.”

After winning, her stated goal was to “start a revolution” for “equity.”

In an interview she gave in December 2021, she said: “It’ll be about equity. I hope there aren’t too many disagreements.” “I think it’s long past time to overthrow racism systemic so that we can start a revolution and effect change.”

Sources say that Fernandes has become known for her public outbursts, which include “swearing and yelling” at open city council meetings.

The insider said that “the last thing anyone wants to do is be labeled a racist.”

Fernandes calls her own outbursts “smoke.”

Come not to me. If you want smoke, you’ll get it. She said, “I am not afraid of any of you” at a March 2024 meeting.

“I consider this a serious threat,” said the insider of her remarks.

The same council member, in a similar outburst, also referred to the city council as being “depraved”, “stupidly racist” and “racially divided”.

Fernandes said to her colleagues, “I’m not going to call you cowards, because your desperation is worthy of mercy.” “Occasionally, the votes you cast here are racist…” I am the voice of every Black woman and man in my community.

She slammed her fist against the table and exclaimed: “What do I need to do to be respected as a Black Woman in this f—ing Council?”

Fernandes doesn’t minimize the impact of this type of “smoke”, in private, on her coworkers. She texted once to the city council: “Toughen the f—-up.”

Put your grudges aside and work it out. Strengthen your f—. The council member sent a text to her colleagues saying, “I do not want to feel like I have to smoke anyone because I know that we can all become warriors when it comes to our family.”

Similarly, the text message pleaded with her coworkers not to engage in “dirty political” activities.

The council member describes her style as “a language-person” and says, “I try to be raw on purpose.”

Fernandes believes in a “welcoming” America and wants to dismantle America’s White Background.

Another time, just after the Oct. 7 attacks, Fernandes Anderson sobbed when colleagues declined to back her resolution, which had originally referred to Hamas’ heinous atrocities–including sexual assault–as a “military operation.”

That’s absurd. She said, “Get up and condemn all civilians and kids slaughtered, not only those who support your political bulls —“.

She said of Israel’s response to the 7th of October that “no Jew who is praying and is faithful and righteous kills children” and that this was also true for Muslims. These people are political animals.

Sources said Fernandes has been preoccupied for six to seven months with drafting resolutions that denounce Israel, and they believe it’s affecting her ability to perform her job duties or attend to local matters. Fernandes Andersen was deemed to be among the worst offenders for missing municipal council meetings, according to a recent evaluation.

The insider said, “It is very disturbing.”

The Massachusetts Ethics Commission alleges that Fernandes placed her sister on the payroll just days after she took office, and only a couple of days after completing conflict-of-interest training for the city.

The ethics commission stated that “Anderson admitted violating conflict of interest laws by hiring her brother and sister to work as paid staff on the Boston City Council.”

She refused to take the oath required of all elected politicians, promising to serve “impartially” and swear loyalty to the United States. After her non-participation in the meeting was discovered, the member of the council was required to take the oath again.

Another issue was her involvement in a budget that she managed, which attempted to reduce funding of almost $1 million for veterans and police. Later, she claimed responsibility for her decision and blamed other council members at a recent meeting. Boston’s Mayor overruled that budget proposal.

Insiders also said they believed the council member to be “troubled” and, as such unfit for office.

“I think she is a person who has a lot of problems. I don’t want those problems to get worse. But her position in the government is problematic,” said the person.
