Elites Advocate for Diplomas as Voter ID, Suggesting Only College Graduates Should Vote

The talking heads were exploding as Donald Trump made a successful entry into the Bronx. The video of the event shows that everyone was there. Many of these people fall into the demographics the Left has claimed for itself in the past because of their skin tone, country of origin, or income bracket.

The relationship between progressives and the poor, minorities, and other people has always been a love/hate one. They can be relied upon to vote for the “right” candidates. On one hand, the Leftists are a great way to teach conservatives about the dangers of cold-hearted conservatism. The Left, on the other hand wants to watch them from a distance. They want to see their charges educated, but not over-educated and empowered. They are completely ignorant of the lives of people outside their circle.

It should not be surprising that, according to a recent Scott Rasmussen poll, 69% of Carr’s Water Cracker (the one percenters) believe that only college graduates should have the right to vote. Rasmussen, in an interview with the Daily Signal Podcast described this group of people as those who have post-graduate degrees. They also live in urban areas densely populated (approximately 10,000 people per square mile) in a particular zip code. This group earns at least $150,000 per year.

Rasmussen found a subset within that group that he calls the “politically-obsessed elites.” Rasmussen described this group in the past as those who believe that the people have a lot of freedom and a high degree of trust for the federal government. They are blissfully unaware that they have a disconnect.

The most hilarious finding is that 82% of the politically obsessed elites believe that the majority of Americans agree on the most important issues. They’re not looking at the mirror, it’s just that they want to believe what they see. They only see what they want.

It’s frightening to think that these people, who believe their views represent America, can cheat a bit or bend the rules, just because they are able to say “We’re battling for the American People.” In reality, they are waging war against the American People.

Rasmussen polled elites and found that 64% believe Americans are willing to spend an extra $250 per year to fight climate change. 57% believe most voters would prefer to live in a place where guns were banned. 55% believe most voters support banning the sale of gasoline-powered cars. And 41% think that most people agree that men of biological origin should be allowed to participate in women’s sport. Oh, and 71% believe that most voters have a high level of trust in the federal government. Rasmussen predicts, too, that if Trump wins in November these elites would be the most vocal about the election being rigged.

It would be fascinating to know what they would say if people with postgraduate degrees from colleges like Hillsdale and Liberty were allowed to vote. They may meet the requirement of higher education, but would not pass the other litmus test, if only the elites believed that they existed.
