There were many speeches Tuesday, but Eric Trump’s speech was the most memorable. He not only showed how a mockery this trial is, but also how it is being conducted at the expense of New Yorkers and their safety. He also created an emotional moment by praising and adoring his father for being so strong in the face of all this humiliation.
Trump started by saying, “I am a son sitting here today.” “Forget about politics for a moment.”
Trump said that he watched the New York DA office giggling in the courtroom as his father was attacked. New Yorkers were subjected to degrading treatment, murder and assaults.
“You’ve got a total degradation in New York State because Alvin Bragg and Letitia are only interested in criminally prosecuting Donald Trump. They do it only for that one reason.” This is a case of political vendetta. They are all funded by George Soros. This is political lawfare, and it must stop.”
Trump described his father while he endured court proceedings. He recalled that they had impeached and tried him a second time, targeted his Supreme Court Justices and turned DOJ and FBI on him. When none of this worked, he said, they started going after his entire family, including him, Don Jr. and Lara.
Trump went straight to the point, stating that Biden’s poll numbers are so low.
He continued, “And this their answer.” “Go after this guy for $130,000.”
Trump said that he would apologize to the jury about this waste of time. He thanked the NYPD for saving thousands of officers from having to protect the courthouse against lunatics and protesters, when they could have been protecting New Yorkers. He noted that the trial cost New York taxpayers a lot of money.
He said, “New York deserves much more than this.”
In the last thirty seconds, Trump talked about his admiration of his father’s perseverance and fortitude despite all the crap thrown at him including a corrupt court judge.
All the evidence has been presented to the jury. We’ll soon know if the jury agrees that this was a waste of time.
It doesn’t matter which way you look at it. This is a political witch hunt. The fact that Democrats are so low is not surprising, but still disgusting.
