Florida Hospitals Face Over $560M in Losses This Year Due to Undocumented Immigrants

The illegal aliens’ healthcare costs have caused a huge financial loss for the Florida healthcare system in 2024. Guess who is on the hook? U.S. taxpayers.

Breitbart reports that a Florida law (SB1718), which requires state hospitals in the state to disclose unpaid costs of illegal aliens, now forces them to do so. This year’s costs are estimated at $566 million. This is just one category of illegal alien costs in a state over merely a few short months. Taxpayers across the nation, including Florida, have to pay billions in taxes to cover foreign criminals.

Breitbart provides some statistical context

Tom McDougal, CEO of Manatee Memorial Hospital, stated at a county meeting recently that the hospital will receive $2.7 million from the county by 2023. The Herald-Tribune reported that the hospital had spent $21.2m in 2023 for uninsured costs, mostly to illegals. This was compared to $14.4m in 2021. Fox News reported in March 2023 that Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma, Arizona had spent $26 million between December 2021 to November 2022 on migrants who didn’t pay for services.

Arizona was a major hotspot for the border crisis of 2024. Every state has become a border state. Arizona, Florida Texas, Virginia, California Montana New York — illegals are draining resources in all states.

Breitbart has added two more state statistics, as well as a federal statistic about illegal alien costs.

Illinois reported an expenditure of $1.1 billion in 2022…Even as far back as 2018, the federal government spent $18.5 billion to pay for hospitals and health care for illegal aliens…In early 2023, the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimated that illegal immigration cost hospital systems at least $23 billion annually — $8.2 million of which is uncompensated medical care. Biden’s administration offers taxpayer-funded incentives to illegal immigrants to come to America. Breitbart reported that Donald Trump had blocked such expenditures during his tenure as president, but the Biden Administration reversed this common-sense policy.

Biden’s administration, however, is willing to use taxpayer money to reward illegal migrants who break the law. This may be because illegals, as a result of another Biden initiative, are included in the Census, and can permanently rig both the Electoral College (Electoral College) and Congress to favor Democrats. Democrats aren’t concerned about how Americans suffer, as long as their selfish goals are achieved.
