Trump Makes Surprise Campaign Stop, Delivers Pizza to NYC Firefighters After Court Appearance

Published on

Former President Trump honored first responders in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday evening after spending hours in court during his criminal trial.

Former President and Presumptive Republican Presidential Nominee 2024 arrived with pizza at the same New York City Fire Department he visited on September 11, 2021, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Trump spent a day in Manhattan’s courtroom listening to testimony and being cross-examined on the criminal charges brought against him. The judge heard from both the prosecutors and Trump’s defense team about allegations that the former president violated the gag order.

The FDNY has said that it is grateful to anyone who supports first responders.

The department issued a statement saying that it appreciated anyone who supported its members in the FDNY regardless of their political affiliation.

Former President George W. Bush has called the criminal case and trial brought against him “election interfering.” He claims that prosecutors work in coordination with Biden White House, prosecuting their political rival.

Trump spent Wednesday in Wisconsin and Michigan holding rallies and events. The court doesn’t meet on Wednesdays.

Trump believes the prosecutions of his opponents will have a “reverse” effect on his campaign and that his supporters are aware the cases are “rigged”, and “unfair”.

Trump, on the other hand, is making the most of his confinement in New York City.

Trump visited an Upper Manhattan bodega one day after court.

A large crowd welcomed him with chants of “Trump, Trump, and Trump,” “Four More Years” and “We Love Trump.” The crowd sang the National Anthem.

Trump said that the trial made him “campaign local, and that is okay.”

Trump told the bodega, “We’re doing much better than ever before, so I believe it’s having an opposite effect.”

“We are going to step in. Number one, we have to stop the crime. We’re going to let the police do what they do. It is important to give them back their authority.” “They have to be in a position to perform their duties,” Trump said. “And we are going to New York. We’re going to make a big push for New York and other cities. But this city, I love it.”

Alvin Bragg, Manhattan District Attorney, charged Trump with 34 counts for falsifying records of business in the first degree.

Trump has denied all the charges brought against him.
