Biden Campaign Clings to Debunked Hoax in Desperate Push

Published on

The Biden campaign never ceases to amaze me. Not only is it built on lies, but they continue to repeat them despite being repeatedly disproven. They do it because they are confident that they will get away with their lies because the mainstream media is willing to push the narrative of the Biden campaign.

For example, the Biden campaign is pushing the debunked claim made by The Atlantic that Trump refused to visit Aisne-Marne American Cemetery because he believed the soldiers buried there were “suckers” or “losers.”

The Atlantic reported this story four years ago. More than a dozen Trump Administration officials, including former National Security Advisor John Bolton—who is not a fan of Trump—have denied it.

“I did not hear any of these comments or anything that was even remotely similar to them,” Bolton said to Fox News in September 2020. “I was present at the time when it was decided he wouldn’t go to Aisne-Marne Cemetery. He decided not to go because John Kelly recommended it. It was a completely weather-related choice, and I felt it was the right thing to do.”

The Atlantic published a bogus article.

The mainstream media reported last year that John Kelly confirmed The Atlantic’s allegations that Trump said to Kelly on Memorial Day 2017 in Arlington National Cemetery: “I don’t get it. What did they get out of it?”

But those who knew him best have said that he would not have tolerated such a thing if Trump had actually said it. Kelly’s son died in Afghanistan, so it’s hard to imagine that he would have stayed in the Trump administration had Trump said these things.

Zach Fuentes told Breitbart News that he did not hear POTUS refer to anyone as losers after he told him about the weather. “Do you honestly think that General Kelly would have allowed anyone to call fallen Marines losers?”

The article in The Atlantic on September 3 was false and degrading. I was also informed that the President was disappointed he could not make the wreath-laying ceremony. Maj. Gen. Bill Matz was secretary of the American Battle Monuments Commission at the time.

FOIA documents have also proven conclusively that Trump’s trip to the cemetery had been canceled because of bad weather. Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, was asked to confirm that the cancellation had been due to bad weather. He admitted that this was most likely the case.

Why does the Biden campaign continue to spread this lie? The media is not only liable to misreport the story, but the Biden campaign also knows that it’s losing and is desperate enough to not care.
