We readers know that the media and Democrats can be predictable.
As we reported earlier, despite the pro-Hamas agitators causing havoc on Saturday outside the White House—including running the Secret Service and police out of Lafayette Square, setting off smoke bombs, assaulting a Park Ranger, and vandalizing monuments—the police announced that no arrests were made.
The reaction of the Biden campaign to this event was perhaps even more predictable.
On “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart” on MSNBC, Biden’s senior spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod was asked a rather soft question by Capehart. He wanted to know how the protests—which he claimed were only “calling for a ceasefire” and demanding a halt to aid to Israel—were “weighing” on the Biden campaign.
Elrod’s response was pretty unbelievable for reasons I will explain shortly:
“First of all, unlike President Trump, President Biden supports freedom of speech and freedom of expression. These protesters are clearly exercising their rights, and it is their right. We do understand that it is a difficult situation. He’s certainly not taking any votes for granted. But look at the freedom people have. Going back to the message about freedom, they can protest and they can speak their minds.”

It’s interesting because, by my count, Biden and his administration have treated their critics in a shabby manner, calling anti-Biden/pro-Trump types “MEGA MAGA Extremists” who want to destroy the nation.
The Biden administration’s efforts to sic the FBI on parents who expressed concern about the far-left DEI policies implemented in public school classrooms contradicted the “Biden supports the right to protest” narrative.
There were also their acknowledged efforts to suppress the free speech of Americans via Big Tech back channels during the COVID pandemic. Last I checked, this was in no way respectful of the First Amendment.
This response is especially fascinating when you consider that Joe Biden’s campaign was launched after the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally. Biden condemned not only the tiki torchers but also those who marched peacefully. He said nothing about free speech rights when he falsely claimed that Trump was in solidarity with the white nationalists.
It was the right of the Charlottesville marchers too. If Biden goes with this he’s sunk even more than he’s already maybe sunk. https://t.co/jwt7b9inaM

But people who openly supported Hamas terrorists on Saturday, who also fought with police and chanted about the murder of Jews, get no condemnation. Biden merely “supports” their First Amendment rights to protest.
This is the same Democrat privilege, and it’s disgusting.
