Inside the Biden Campaign: From Delusion to Despair

It’s not too old but not so young. The Biden campaign is running out of time as it continues to face headwinds. In June, the president’s approval ratings hit a new all-time low of just 37.4 percent, and no relief is in sight.

How are the different handlers around Biden managing their current situation today? New reports paint a grim picture, with responses ranging from delusional and despondent. Let’s start with the first.

Biden’s chief aide seems to have a strategy of sipping coffee as the world burns. This is the “this fine” meme in action.

Are Americans just slumbering and ready to spring into action by voting for an old man with a senile mind who has had the worst results in modern history as a president? That’s highly unlikely. The campaign, as I stated at the start of this article is not that new. It’s June, but there are less than two weeks until the first debate. And shouting about Jan. 6th isn’t exactly a new concept.

Other people in Biden’s orbit are more concerned with the inner circle’s assurances about everything that is happening now being a mirage.

What they are saying: A Democratic Strategist in contact with the campaign said to Axios that it was unclear to many of those watching the campaign from the outside if the president and his team realized how dire the current situation is, and if they had a plan for fixing it. It’s scary.”

Axios reported that people close to the president are worried about raising concerns during meetings, because Biden’s loyal group of longtime aides could expel dissenters.

A person close to Biden told Axios that even those who are “close to the center” were reluctant to express skepticism about the current course of action, out of fear of being perceived as unloyal. This person spoke on condition of anonymity due to these dynamics.

There is no discussion about the need for a course correction.

It appears that the man who cannot remember his cabinet members’ names and speaks incoherently has such a strong hand, his advisors fear to even suggest a strategy change. This is despite polls showing that Biden has a legitimate problem against Donald Trump. In the article, Jill Biden was credited with keeping things insular in the area of the president.

Problems are a funny thing. It’s impossible to fix problems if they don’t exist. Democrats are content to sink with the ship, mumbling “democracy”, and believing Americans do not care about their well-being or what’s on their wallets. I don’t think that will work out well. But we’ll have to wait and see.
