Judge Judy Shocks CNN’s Wallace with Sharp Remark on Trump Verdict and Manhattan’s Rising Violence Under Bragg

Someone might be able to help me. I saw something on Friday which left me puzzled. Isn’t it common knowledge that “Judge Judy Sheindlin” is a person who should be respected and not to be messed with?

The CNN host Chris Wallace must have been surprised when the former TV juryist was his guest in the latest episode “Who’s Talking with Chris Wallace” which is broadcasted on Max streaming on Fridays.

Wallace began his overly complicated line of questioning with this:

Donald Trump’s legal strategy was very clear. He wanted all the trials to be delayed until after the election.

Is the justice system manipulated or does it work?

Judge Judy’s response stunned the host into silence. She directed a fireball full of righteous anger at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for the lawfare charges (and subsequent conviction) brought against Trump in the case of business document fraud. She spoke also as a New York City business owner, frustrated by violence that she witnesses every day — and as taxpayer:

She said:

As someone who owns real estate in Manhattan, I would rather the District Attorney of New York County take action against criminals who make it impossible for citizens of Manhattan to walk on the streets or use the subway and keep them off the streets, than spend taxpayer money to try Donald Trump over this nonsense.

This is my opinion. As a taxpayer, I find it offensive that you use the system to further your personal ambitions.

She said yes when asked to clarify if she meant Bragg. Then, exasperated, she added: “If you looked, you would have had to twist your body into a pretzel in order to determine what the crime was.” He [Bragg] does not like him [Trump].

Judge Judy didn’t stop there. He tried to catch her with the “character card” about the former President, by asking Sheindlin, what she thought of Trump. She paused to reflect and then slowly replied, “What do you think of him?” He was a great businessman and real estate agent. I also thought he did a fantastic job on “The Apprentice.”

The best part of her response to Wallace’s question was how she felt during his tenure as president. She refused to be pigeonholed and said, “I do not think Donald should have ever been president. I don’t even think Donald thought he would be president.”

It may be a bit of a digression, but I recognized her answer. Norm Macdonald who was close to Trump and knew him only “casually” through his reality show said something similar during an interview with Larry King, just before the 2016 election. Norm Macdonald, who didn’t think Donald Trump would win, said he thought Trump was just “playing a role” and not running for POTUS. He continued the segment, wearing that trademark grin of the comedian’s fans. Perhaps Trump does not “want to become president of the United States as much as he would like to be the President of whatever room that night he is playing.”
