The king must show the people how to do things every now and then.
Fox News reports that George Strait’s concert at College Station in Texas set the record for most tickets sold in U.S. History, making him the “king of country music” and the “king of concerts”:
The “Amarillo By Morning’ singer performed in front of a crowd that numbered 110,905 people in south Texas. This was a record-breaking attendance, previously held by the Grateful Dead almost 50 years ago.
In 1977, Raceway Park in New Jersey was packed with 107,019 Dead fans. Strait sold nearly 4,000 more tickets on Saturday, according to Billboard.
The concert took place at Kyle Field in Texas A&M football stadium. Strait encouraged fans to arrive early to the concert and to stay hydrated. Strait’s performance would be preceded with tailgating and festivities. He also told them that he would be debuting new songs off his upcoming album “Cowboys and Dreamers.”
The Texas Governor Greg Abbott was among the attendees, and he snapped a picture of the huge crowd.
Unbelievable concert by the King, George Strait.

Strait later posted to X a wider shot of the huge crowd that came to see him.
Take us back to Texas! George set an amazing record at #KyleField this Saturday with 110,905 fans—the biggest single ticketed concert in U.S. history! What was your favorite part of the show? @alivecoverage / Courtesy of Messina Touring Group pic.twitter.com/nno4pvc3kb

“I’m scared!” Strait jokingly reacted to the large number of attendees.
According to reports people attended the concert and enjoyed it greatly. They returned home safely and satisfied. James Woods was not unaware of this fact.
The largest concert ever sold out in the United States. No fights, no shootings, no burning police cars. Just 110,000 civilized American fans celebrating an amazing American talent. What an idea! “Thank you, Texas!” Woods posted on X.

Woods’s statement is true. It’s refreshing when everyone is having a great time and nothing else happens. It’s especially important as we approach an election year where everyone is agitated and ready to tear each other’s throats. Even a comedy show is interrupted by an anti-Israel lunatic.
This is exactly what Jerry Seinfeld experienced during a performance in Australia.
Woods emphasizes that everyone was civil and there to have a good time. In this age of anger and division, we need to see more of that. There’s no drama, hate or anger, just great country music by the king.
A civilized concert for civilized people in a civilized place.
