Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appeared together for the very first time at her Eras Tour concert in London on Sunday.
Swift added a new segment in her show after the release of her album “The Tortured Poets Department” where, following the completion of her song “The Smallest Man Whoever Lived,” Swift performs a pantomime silent sketch with her dancers as a transition to “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.”
Swift is carried by her dancers to a couch where she changes her costume reluctantly. They also encourage her to sing before she begins.
To the delight of her fans, Kelce carried her up to the couch and then danced along with her as she changed outfits, encouraging her to perform.
The Chiefs tight-end wore a tuxedo with a top hat and tails, matching the other male dancers.
Kelce was in London the last two nights, dancing and singing along with celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Mila Kutcher and Ashton Kutcher, and Hugh Grant in the VIP section.
Tonight, there were new faces in the section, including Bon Jovi’s Andrew Scott, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Sir Paul McCartney.
Swift showed Kelce some love on Saturday by changing the lyrics of her song, “Karma”, to read, “Karma, the Chiefs’ guy, is coming right home to me.” Swift did the same thing during her stop in Argentina when Kelce was there.
Swift’s apparent criticism by Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl has been followed by the excitement surrounding Kelce’s arrival.
Grohl said, “Man, you don’t wanna suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.” This was Saturday night, at London Stadium.
He went on to say, “We call our tour ‘Errors’ Tour’. We’ve been through more than a couple of eras and made more than a handful of f–king mistakes. Just a few. “Swifties” have dubbed the tour “Errors Tour”, based on mishaps onstage, such as wardrobe malfunctions and a “haunted keyboard,” to name just a couple.
Grohl then implied Swift didn’t perform in person, saying, “That’s why we play live.” What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? “You’ve come to the right place.”
Swift thanked her band and crew in a clip posted online on Sunday, saying that the band would “be playing for you live for three-and-a-half hours tonight.”
Swift’s next stop on tour is at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday 28th June.
