Jill Stein and Cornel West are two people I love. They know what they are doing, just like Ralph Nader and Ross Perot. Stein appears to have no other purpose than to chip away, piece by piece, at Biden’s base. The damage that Stein did to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016 was negligible. However, the impact she has on the Biden campaign will be even greater. Even Donald Trump, the former president, admitted as much during his Philadelphia rally.

The Biden campaign worked very hard to prevent Stein from being on the ballot in states that are considered battlegrounds. He is suing Stein in Nevada to remove her from the ballot. Stein has a lot of moxie, and she is working hard to qualify for Pennsylvania’s ballot.
Jill Stein, the Green Party’s presumptive presidential candidate, failed to qualify for this week’s first presidential debate in Atlanta. However, she says that she has enough signatures to appear on the ballot of another battleground State: Pennsylvania.
The Stein campaign will continue collecting signatures at the home of President Biden, Pennsylvania. This is to prepare for “frivolous lawsuits” that the Green Party claims it has faced in Nevada and other states where Democrats questioned the validity of signatures.
Stein spokesperson Jason Call stated: “We are looking forward to appearing on the PA ballot following whatever shenanigans Democrats pull to prevent us.” They are doing this to drain our resources and time. Not to keep us from the ballot.
Publicly, the DNC, along with their allies, are targeting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who did not attend the debate. Why? One political consultant said that they didn’t want their progressive base to lose votes by upsetting the apple cart.
Lee M. Miringoff of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion said that it was harder for Democrats than Republicans to attack Ms. Stein or Mr. West because they appealed to a segment of progressive voters who may only make up a small portion of the electorate but could be the difference between Mr. Biden winning and losing in hypercompetitive battlegrounds.
Miringoff stated that “right now, most of the Stein numbers come from Biden as do the Cornel West numbers.” It could be a big deal.
Stein’s point is well taken: no candidate should presume to have your vote. They should work hard to earn it. Unfortunately, her message has been ghettoized by low-rated MSNBC or Cenk Uygur’s “The Young Turks.”

Candidates and elected officials have been circling Biden, trying to rescue him from himself.
All I’m gonna say is if Ralph Nader wasn’t on the ballot in 2000 and Jill Stein wasn’t in 2016, we’d have a pro-choice majority in the Supreme Court.
They bear responsibility too and we can’t afford to make the same mistake in 2024.
