The father of an Alaska woman killed in a 2019 murder-for-hire-plot died over the weekend during a memorial motorcycle ride commemorating the fifth anniversary of her death.
The Anchorage Daily News reported on Timothy Hoffman’s (58) motorcycle accident near Wasilla. Tanya Chaison who was engaged with Timothy Hoffman’s younger brother was seriously injured by his wife Barbara “Jeanie Hoffman”.
Cynthia Hoffman, a 19-year-old daughter of the Hoffmans, was murdered in a catfish scam involving Denali Breimmer. Hoffman thought Brimmer was her best friend. Brehmer started an online relationship, with Darin Schlimiller, a man from Indiana who claimed to be a multi-millionaire. He promised her $9,000,000, if she killed someone, and she would send photos and videos.
Hoffman, who was bound and shot with duct-tape by Brehmer, was found dead in the Eklutna river on Chugiak’s 2nd June 2019. According to the authorities Brehmer had sent Schilmiller photos and videos of the murder.
Hoffman was lured into believing she would be meeting friends for a hike at Thunderbird Falls Trail when she died.
Documents confirm Brehmer’s confession to his involvement in Hoffman’s death. He confessed to federal agents and the Indiana State Police. In this case, two other people will receive sentences later in the year.
Timothy Hoffman was wearing a leather jacket with a small dog on his back during court hearings.
He stated: “I hope that his family will find comfort in knowing that Tim died while doing what he loved with people he likes, and in memory of someone who he loves. “
