The announcement comes shortly after Biden’s announcement that he will not seek reelection. This has sent the Democratic Party into a frenzy. Harris was left out of the comments made by leading Democrats such as Obama and Pelosi, but many speculated that the vice president might be the nominee.
Biden’s campaign war chest has nearly 100 million dollars. Others believe that the rules dictate that this money can only be given to Kamala and not any other candidates. However, there are different interpretations as to how it could be distributed. This is just one of many complicated questions that the Democrats will have to answer in the future.

Media, X-platform users, and Democratic Party members have been scrambling since the announcement. If that is what this is, it doesn’t appear to be a well-executed transfer. Did we expect this to be a well-executed handoff coming from the Biden Administration?

Harris’ filing at the FEC does not mean that delegates will vote for her during the DNC in the third week of August. The work is not finished until the job is done. It does mean, however, that she will fight to win the $100 million prize and to be able to compete for a spot. The party is likely to be behind her. We can expect a bloodbath if they do not. There’s been a lot of talk about how not nominating her would be an insult to black women everywhere.
She will be deemed a bad candidate if she does not get nominated. Right now, the Democratic Party is in a desperate situation after Trump’s popularity soared and Biden’s dropped after the debate. In a battle to survive, they will likely rally behind her. She has been left out of Obama’s and Pelosi’s comments. It was a bad start for the first black woman to run for President of the United States of America.
