The Game Has Changed: Republicans Must Adapt to Avoid Disaster

The current vice president will be the Democratic Party’s nominee after Joe Biden announced his decision to step down.

The right-wingers including myself reacted with mockery. They posted videos. They laughed at memes. They noted that Trump was still ahead of Harris in most polls, despite all the criticisms of her inauthentic and awkward presentation.

Overconfidence can creep in at a certain point. There is a point at which overconfidence creeps in.

Let’s start with the debate or debates that will take place if Donald Trump follows through on his promise to hold multiple debates. I do not believe Harris is a great debater after watching her during the Democrat presidential primary in 2020 and in the general election. Heck Tulsi’s now-famous response in a discussion was what ended Harris’ campaign for president.

Harris will never be authentic in her delivery because she is not Joe Biden. As long as she is coherent and can deliver her message, the press will praise it as the best debate performance in history.

Trump’s ramblings, and the fact that he missed certain points he should have made, were not noticed.

It is naive to think that the vice president would be able to carry on a conversation with Harris. Harris will have prepared talking points and she will be ready to deliver them.

What was Gabbard’s response to this in the 2019 debate? Harris had her record ripped to shreds by a prepared and well-researched answer before American citizens. There will be no softballs.

There is more discussion about Harris’s sexual history and the fact that she was hired by DEI. Biden had promised a woman vice president. Harris’s achievements and abilities would have been insufficient if she were white. Brown gave Harris two lucrative board positions and introduced her to all of the powerful San Francisco players.

This could backfire, and create sympathy for Harris.

It’s not me saying this, it’s Trump’s pollster.

Money is not the most important factor. Biden has been strangled by donors. Harris, on the other hand, is at the top of the ticket.

The Democrats will have a lot of advertising, but they will also be able to hire volunteers and build a ground game infrastructure. Republicans can’t expect to get enough votes by holding a few rallies. A well-organized campaign will be needed to defeat Democrats.

This election is going to be a dogfight. Two days ago, the election was over. Today, it’s back to being a toss-up, even though Kamala is a flawed candidate who is very beatable. Republicans may end up in a bad situation come November 6.
