Sir Kier Starmer has assured the British police that they will be fully supported in their fight against ‘extremists’ after a large number of children were stabbed at a Southport dance party this week. In the United Kingdom, riots and protests have broken out against mass immigration.
Starmer, the newly-elected leftist Prime Minister who took office less than one month ago, met on Saturday with the top members of his cabinet to discuss the crisis. Unrest has broken out in dozens of towns and cities throughout the UK. Several of them were Labour Party strongholds in the north. The attack was in response to Monday’s killing of three girls, and the stabbing of eight others including children.
The Guardian, citing left-wing group Hope Not Hate as its source, reported that 35 protest sites were planned for Saturday. The Guardian reported, citing the left-wing organisation Hope Not Hate, that 35 protest locations were scheduled for Saturday.
The Daily Telegraph’s Downing Street spokesman said: “The Prime minister has stated that we support the police when they take action against extremists, who attack police officers or disrupt local businesses. They also spread hatred by intimidating communities.”
The Prime Minister concluded his speech by saying that freedom of speech is not the same as violence. In reiterating the government’s commitment to the police, he said they would take all measures necessary to ensure the safety of the streets.
The hardline reaction of the left-wing PM to the violence and outpourings of rage has been compared to his reaction in the Black Lives Matter Riots of 2020 when he famously knelt with Marxists while calling those involved “people demanding justice rightfully”.
The government was also criticized for refusing to comment on footage that appeared to show large counter-protesters (either leftist or Muslim) violently reacting to videos posted on social media.

Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, has harshly criticized the Prime Minister for his response to his first crisis in his expected five-year term. Starmer was accused by Reform UK of not addressing mass immigration, as the cause of anger.
Richard Tice, Member of Parliament for Boston & Skegness said that on Friday “millions” of British citizens were angry about the lawless Britain.
Keir Starmer, instead of showing empathy, labeled the people as “far left”.
However, others have demanded that the government go further, including Tory leadership candidate and former Home Secretary Priti Patel, who has called on Starmer to recall Parliament to hold an emergency session on the unrest.
John Woodcock – former Labour MP and advisor to Baron Walney on political violence – argued that a lockdown, similar to a coronavirus, would be necessary to quell the unrest.
Lord Walney said to Times Radio: “I think the government and new ministers will understand that the British people will support any measure they deem necessary to control this situation. ”
“Back in Covid, they were willing to support the measures necessary at the time. I believe they would take the same approach today, given the extent to which the communities have been damaged. ”
