Gavin Newsom’s Staged Homeless Camp Visit Sparks Backlash for Phony Photo-Op

California Gov. Newsom tried to fool voters by appearing at two photo ops staged in Southern California on Thursday. He wanted them to think he was concerned about the homeless population which exploded during his tenure as San Francisco Mayor and his previous stint. It’s like a person who has burned down your home showing up and saying “These ugly ashes are unacceptable.” You are a scumbag!

The governor who was appointed six years ago suddenly wants everyone “urgent.”

“People are done. “If we don’t do something about this, we’re not worthy of being in office,” Newsom said as he ripped into a garbage-strewn, rancid campsite on state land under Interstate 10 in Los Angeles with a crew of state workers in orange vests.

Newsom, you’ve hit the nail right on the head. You haven’t done anything for years and you are not entitled to hold office. He will not be governor in ’26 because he is terming out. But we all know he has higher ambitions, which should scare us all.

This video depicts the complete lack of authenticity shown so expertly by Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris recently on the campaign trail:

After all these years, he suddenly issues an executive order, and shows up in his tight “I’m a regular T-shirt kind of guy”. This should solve everything:

He is particularly angry with the leaders of LA who have not embraced his newfound passion.

Los Angeles leaders have shown strong resistance to Governor Newsom since July 25, when he urged cities to remove the street camps, which have become synonymous with California’s homelessness crisis. They have made it clear that they will deal with this issue on their terms and timetable.

He said his mission was a mix of public service and political flex. He said he wanted to see more urgency from leaders of Los Angeles County. The county is home to almost 10 million Californians and the unsheltered homeless rate in Los Angeles County was about half that of the City of Los Angeles.

“We need partners, not sparring partners,” Mr. Newsom said. “We won’t change the State if we can’t save Los Angeles County.”

These statements are powerful and sound great on television. The same person who made these statements recently vetoed legislation that would have forced authorities to keep track of hundreds of millions they’ve spent on the situation.

Newsom’s photo-op, however, does not erase his terrible record.

One video tells you all about Newsom’s record on homelessness. He can pose for all the photos he wants but has shown over the years that he cannot be trusted.

What will Gov Hair Gel’s next move be? We’ve reported that he has little interest in the Golden State, and is now aiming for a role at a national level, possibly a cabinet seat in (God forbid!) Kamala Harris’ administration. Maybe he is preparing for a run at the presidency in ’28?

We must not stop reminding him – and the electorate – of his history of destruction.
