It’s true, the wonders never stop. Kamala Harris sat down for an official interview. It was a taped interview, conducted by CNN’s Dana Bash. Tim Walz of Minnesota, her running mate, and Governor for Emotional Support, was the only comfort that the VP could find.
The internet was enthralled by something much simpler, the staging. Kamala was seated in the child’s chair, and Walz appeared to be Hagrid next to her.
Ok @RoxanneHoge first pointed this out to me @jenvanlaar…
Harris looks absolutely dwarfed by Walz in this setup. Who allowed this to happen?

My better half says it looks like they’ve run out of chairs for adults.
Know how you go to back to school night and the teacher doesn’t have enough adult-sized chairs so Mom takes the kinder chair?
That’s what happened here. https://t.co/mdzvADlkHj

Producers often provide cushions to short guests so that they do not appear small in comparison with the rest of the people on screen. In this case, it would have made sense to do so. Harris was trying to convey strength and gravity in her attempt to be the most powerful person in the world.
Sometimes, when a short actor plays an action star they will put him on an apple carton or select flattering angles. It’s not complicated.
Who’s the campaign manager that thought the dirty dishes in the background,Kamala looking like a little girl and blending into the background and Tim Walz in the power seat was a good look for a first Presidental candidate interview? Someone hates Kamala. pic.twitter.com/3PrGqx9owu

Her answers were also small.
Kamala Harris kicked off her first interview with yet another word salad.
CNN’s DANA BASH: “What would you do on Day 1 in the White House?”
HARRIS: *rambles without answering the question*
BASH: “So what would you do Day 1?” pic.twitter.com/tSaskWxo7s

Pardon the interruption, but I’m watching Harris give her interview.
Can someone get me an iced tea to go with the word salad she’s serving?
